Hi! My name is Kane and I am around 2 yrs old and 14 lbs. They think I'm a Cairn terrier/Yorkie mix. I have the typical Cairn wire coat which has no/low shedding. I am being fostered with a couple other dogs and a couple cats and I do great with everyone! I am also friendly to the 2-legged people I meet. I like to roll around and I "talk" while I do it. Sounds like I'm just having a great time! Other than that, I'm not much of a barker and my foster mom really likes that about me. I do have the typical terrier personality...we like to call it "Charisma"!! Someone with terrier experience might suit me best. I would probably be best with children over 10.

Update 5/21/15: Kane has settled in nicely in his foster home. He follows his foster mom around the house and takes any opportunity to snuggle up on the bed or sofa. If your in the mood for a nap...Kane is in!! He was great for his bath and LOVES to sit on the deck in the sun and watch the world go by. Kane would be a great second dog to add to a family. He is really great with other dogs and adjusts his interactions according to the other dog. Want to play...OK. Want a buddy to hang out with...OK. Want to be left alone...OK.

This little guy is coming out of his shell nicely and we think he likes his new life here in IL. Much better than being stuck in a yard alone in KY!!

The adoption fee of $300.00 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
