Hi, I’m Biggie! They say I’m about 3 ish weeks old, a little over 5 pounds, and probably part Chihuahua, Papillon, and maybe Dachshund, who knows really?! I might seem a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I’ll follow you everywhere - yep, I’m that kind of loyal. Please keep in mind that I’m still a baby that didn’t have the best start in life, you just need to give me a chance to trust. Treats definitely help!
I’m pretty smart if I do say so myself, and every day I’m getting braver and more curious about this big world. My foster mom says I’m a good listener and not yappy like some other little guys tend to be. It would be fine if I had you all to myself but I’m good hanging out with other dogs and even get along with those mysterious creatures called cats. My cat foster brother is my favorite to play with! I hear I’m doing pretty good with my potty training and I’m doing well in my crate too! I’ve only met kids older than 8 that are respectful of my space and we got along great!
If you’re looking for a tiny best friend who will be your loyal shadow with a big heart (and ears!), I think we should meet.
Biggie should be placed into a home with kids 10 or older only
If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet!
The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
*please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
