WOAH!! Who's that pretty girl, you ask? My name is Rainbow, but now I go by Rita!  I am a four pound Chihuahua mix born around 1/11, and I am on the hunt for my forever family. Are you ready to hear all about how great I am? Because I sure am ready to tell you!

I am a natural leader and I am quite brave. I am the first to investigate anything and anyone new that pops up in my surroundings. I enjoy meeting new people and dogs, and I feel neutral about cats. I strongly believe that whenever somebody comes to visit my foster mom's home, they are actually here for ME!!! They don't call me "star of the show" for nothing, after all. 

I love adventure and the outdoors. I would be a great buddy to take along on trips. I will run after toys that you throw for me, but I'm still figuring out how I feel about fetching them and bringing them back to you each time....maybe YOU could be the retriever? 

When I'm at home, I do require snuggles--and LOTS of them. I would be overjoyed if you cradle me like a baby and carry me around with you all day. If not, I will follow you around anyway! I may feel a little sad if you leave to go somewhere without me, but all you need to do is assure me that you will be back soon and I will understand. 

I am working on potty training currently. I am already crate and pen trained. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm REALLY smart! I'll be so happy and eager for you to teach me new tricks and skills. 

Lastly, I have the cutest heart shaped patch of fur on my back, and I have two different colored eyes. As you can already tell, I am an exceptionally unique girl.

We are looking for a home with kids 8+ for Rainbow. 

The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
