Hey there! My name’s Baxter, and I’m a ridiculously adorable black-and-tan shepherd mix, around 3 months old, weighing in at a perfect little 7 pounds. My story started a bit rough—I was found abandoned in a shoebox—but don’t let that fool you. I’ve got big dreams, a big heart, and even bigger puppy energy!

Since my rescue, I’ve been learning what it means to be a pup with a bright future. I’m a spunky little guy who loves chew toys, wrestling with my favorite stuffies, and gnawing on bully sticks (teething life, am I right?). I’m not a huge fan of crates, but give me a designated play area where I can romp around, and I’m all good! Plus, I’m puppy pad trained—how’s that for impressive?

I sleep peacefully through the night and wake up super excited to greet my humans in the morning. My favorite spot during the day? Right by you, of course, with a toy or two to keep me busy. I’m even learning how to fetch squeaky toys and balls—watch out, I might just become a pro!

Because I missed out on some sibling lessons, I’m still figuring out all the finer points of puppy manners. For that reason, I’d do best in a home with older kiddos (8+)or adults who can help me learn and grow.

The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
