Meet Marley, an 8 month old 35 lb hound/spaniel/lab mix girl.
Marley says: I LOVE KIDS! I love nothing more than to give gentle kisses to short people and get their snuggles and belly rubs. Even the smallest people make my tail wag and my eyes smile.
My foster parents say that I am "the friendliest dog they've ever seen", and that I "don't know what personal space is". I like to goof around with other dogs that I meet on walks, and even though I try to play with cats, they're usually not interested. I go potty outside when my foster parents take me out, and do my very best to make sure any crumbs that get dropped on the floor are cleaned up immediately. I know the words "go outside", "come inside", "Ah-ah (no)", "let's go to bed" and of course "treat".
I do get excited and try to tell my family things a lot- tell them about the cat, or the squirrels, or the garbage truck, or that the curtains move on their own- They say it sounds like I'm trying to say words, and that I grumble a lot. I say if they had to eat kibble, they'd grumble too.
My foster brother is 7, and he likes to read me stories in bed. He says that I give the best cuddles and that my face is "as soft as butter", whatever that means. Sometimes I steal his shoes and just lay them in my bed and smell them.
My foster mom says I've got the brains and personality of a golden retriever and the glossy black hair of a shepherd. She also says that I sleep with all four paws in the air, which I refuse to believe.
My foster dad says I am SO good on walks but I sometimes go in circles around him and get him tangled up. Putting on the metal part of the leash still scares me a little, but once it's on my collar I'm just excited to go outside.
Even though I will miss my foster family SO much they've promised me that I'm going to this really exciting new place called MY FOREVER HOME, with my OWN FAMILY and my OWN TOYS. I can't wait to get there!
The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
If you are interested in adopting/meeting , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application .
