Zander needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?

Hi, my Starfish name is Zander but my foster family calls me Zip! I am a 40 lb Shepherd mix boy and am around 1 year old. My ideal home would be where I can hang out with my
people all day, play with my people (I like fetching a ball mostly) and/or play with another dog friend. I would love to sleep at the foot of someone’s bed at night ( I kind of have that right now, but I get crated through the night like the other pups in the house). I respond really well to both encouraging pats and yummy treats and actually do a really funny food time dance that always brings big smiles to my caretakers. They also think I’m a goofy boy because I’m a toy
hoarder: literally, many toys have ended up in my kennel. I also like to chill in my kennel when it’s time to relax and am seriously cute when I close the crate door after I enter it for privacy. Did I mention I’m also potty trained. Yep, I’m a serious catch!

The adoption fee of $350 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!

*please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
