.  Hi!  My name is Dahlia.  My Sisters, Holly & Zinnia and I are being fosters by Starfish Animal Rescue in Leland, Illinois until our forever families show up.  Could that be you?

I am maybe a lab/terrier mix - who knows! I was born around 12/3 and weigh about 8 lbs.

I’m going to make an excellent addition to a loving family.  I’m as cute as cute can be, very smart, curious, loving, happy and sweet.  I am just a baby right now, so I am still working on my housetraining.  My foster mom says that I am a very good girl and give the sweetest puppy snuggles.  I keep my bed clean and I know how to use a piddle pad.  

I have mastered “sit”, “down” (laying down) and “Shake”.  I am working on perfecting “up” (sitting up/pretty) and “roll over”.  My foster mom says I am very smart and will have them mastered in no time.  I love playing with toys and exploring my surroundings.  I’m not crazy about being picked up, but I am very affectionate (I’ve even said “I love you” twice, but only spontaneously.  I will not do it on command!) I love attention and I especially love having my ears scratched and my belly rubbed.  After playing and practicing my tricks I like to rest my head on my foster mom’s feet and take a nap. Nobody knows for sure what breed I am or how big I’ll be when I grow up so I guess you can say I’m 100% rescue.

The adoption fee of $500 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
