Zuzu is a cheerful, friendly, and very lively puppy who loves to play and always wants to be in on the action. She is a mix of breeds - lab/newfie... and weighs around 15 lbs. She was born around 10/23. She will happily approach humans, dogs, and cats alike in search of a playmate and loves to tug, chase, and wrestle until she’s worn out and read for a nap. Access to a fenced area for her to play will be important for getting Zuzu enough exercise. She can sometimes be too enthusiastic jumping up and getting in the face of older or less playful pets and is still learning to how to respect others’ boundaries. She gives lots of affectionate kisses and loves belly rubs, but prefers to take her naps on the ground rather than in a lap. She has been crate training in her foster home and will enter her crate for naps on her own, but she doesn’t like to be left out of activities and will still bark if she can see you out there having fun without her. She is curious and wants to explore every corner of her space, and will zip off to investigate any new people or things that arrive. Zuzu is also one smart cookie. She will usually wait to go to the yard to use the bathroom and has also gotten very good at using her pee pad indoors. She should be closely supervised in new environments to keep her from getting into trouble, such as chewing up houseplants or climbing onto chairs and tables in search of snacks. Zuzu will love being in an active home where everyone can give her lots of attention, playtime, and training.
The adoption fee of $500 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
