George is a smart, friendly, people-focused puppy who loves to snuggle! George weighs about 18 lbs and was born around 10/23. Guesses on his breed are lab/newfie.

George has lots of puppy energy and loves to play and chase, but once he’s gotten enough exercise out in the yard, he has a very easygoing attitude and is a serious cuddle bug! He just wants to follow you around the house all day and chew his toys at your side. If you wanted to carry him around in your arms all day, that would be a-ok with George. He has been crate training at his foster home, but he prefers to nap cuddled up with his people and will still cry at first when left alone in his crate for the night. Other than being apart from you, there’s not much that bothers George. He is confident and not easily frightened by noises or new people or things. He will do best in a home where he can spend most of his time being your shadow, as well as a home that has a fenced in yard so that he can get enough exercise. 

George gets along with both cats and dogs but what he really loves is people. He is highly trainable- very smart and people-focused, LOVES treats and responds very well to positive reinforcement. He loves food so much that you can use treats to get him to do just about anything! He also has a thoughtful demeanor; when he looks at you you can tell he is really paying attention. His foster family has had great luck redirecting his chewing to appropriate toys. He always waits to do his business outside and also has a good record of using a pee pad inside. He is also making great progress walking on a leash. He can get jealous with his toys and treats and is still learning boundaries when wrestling with other dogs, so he should be closely supervised with other pets while he learns how to share and behave. If you’re someone who loves working with and being around their dog, George is going to be your perfect Man’s Best Friend.

The adoption fee of $500 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
