Meet Mark, an approximate 1.5 year old handsome Retriever mix currently weighing about 50 pounds. Unfortunately, due to being starved, Mark is on the thin side and can stand to gain about 15-20 pounds. Mark is highly food motivated which we are using to our benefit to help him learn the come and sit command quickly! He is currently being fostered with an 87# resident dog and he looks to her for guidance, a walking companion and play. Although another dog is not required for placement, due to his prey drive a home with medium to large dogs and no small animals is optimal. He loves going on walks and playing fetch. Mark has 4 young kids in his foster home, but due to his jumping we recommend a home with older kids ages 6 and up so he doesn’t knock them down or take their food.  Mark is potty trained and we  are currently working on crate training and some basic obedience which he is excelling in since he loves treats! Mark craves human affection and after walks and playing outdoors he loves nothing more than to snuggle up with his people. Mark would do best in a moderately active home with a fully fenced yard with or without a medium to large sized furry companion and kids.

The adoption fee of $350 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.
