Hello... I am Kason a male collie/sheltie mix and am about 6 months old and currently weigh around 30lbs. The vet says I look like a sheltie (collie) and estimates I will not get a lot bigger, but I am still growing and full of puppy energy and tail wags! My foster family calls me Kash and says I am very smart and eager to please and learn. My foster mom says I am excellent companion as I enjoy being petted and like to stay nearby.  I am a bit shy meeting new people, so I do still needs some practice, my foster moms call it "socializing". We are also working on leash training, I have to admit, it is a little annoying to wear, but I am catching on, some leash training is needed.  I like to be outside, my foster mom says I am great gardening buddy, I enjoy laying nearby, I can even help pull weeds if you need an extra hand....aka, dig :) I am quick to learn and really want to show you how smart I can be. I thrive on positive attention and consistency and have been mastering potty and crate training.  Toys are really fun and my foster family says they keep me busy and are good for my puppy teeth. I like to keep myself entertained chasing toys and balls around the kitchen. I also have two foster dog buddies, a great Pyrenees (who's really big and fun!) and a senior Shepherd .  I enjoy playing chase around the yard and my foster mom, says I do well.  I would also be fine as an only dog.    My human foster family has two older kids who have been giving me a lot of attention, lots of pets and belly rubs! It is pretty great being rescued!! I take meal/treat time very seriously. It is best that I am divided from other dogs and have my own space when I eat. I am so thankful to have been rescued by Starfish and am looking for my forever home. I would love to have someone adopt me who will help me to shine!!

We are asking that adoptive families have children or visiting  grandchildren 14 or older only, please - and a fully fenced in yard. 

The adoption fee of $450  will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Although we do the best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can make no guarantee. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED!
