Elmer gently reaches out a paw to touch you and says iee iee iee. He is all about love and sings sweet little sounds to get some attention. He can’t jog with you, but Elmer is a champion snuggler.

A chi mix about 8 years old, Elmer is 11 pounds of good behavior and sweetness. Sometime in his difficult life Elmer broke a rear leg which was never fixed and healed badly. He gets along fine, but he is lame, so short walks are all the exercise he needs.

While he lacks in physical abilities, he has personality in quiet abundance. Elmer has no bad habits and barks only to go out or if someone knocks at the door. He is kind to all dogs, cats, and humans, but he WOULD like to chase some squirrels. He is spunky and willing, but should have a quieter household and be treated with consideration.

When I picked Elmer up he was a yowling, scratching, bundle of misery. Both eyes and ears were badly infected, he was covered with scabs and bald spots. Now his pretty coat is grown in, his infections are gone, and his cute little face has a hopeful expression.

Elmer would love to have a home with his peeps around most of the time. Furry friends are fine as long as there’s not a lot of roughhousing. He is a delightful little guy who deserves some kindness and the love he longs for. If you can overlook his physical imperfections Elmer will reward you with devotion and love for the rest of his days. He is a wonderful, charming companion.

 

The adoption fee of $175.00 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Although we do the best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can make no guarantee. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED!
