Meet Lady Blue! Lady is a happy, cuddly couch potato.  A gorgeous Bluetick Coonhound, she weighs about 55lbs. Despite being only 2 years old, Lady wants nothing more than to relax inside.  While she gets along well with her foster parent's two large dogs, she rarely plays with them.  She would really rather lounge.  Lady does get excited to go on walks, where she is very friendly to all strangers.  But, she would protect the house from unwelcome visitors.  She does need to be walked regularly to maintain strength in her hip after she had surgery from being hit by a car.   She has the most adorable slight limp, but it doesn't stop her from doing most things- she takes the stairs to get into the house perfectly fine!  She is house broken, and alerts her foster parents to potty time with the unmistakable deep bay of a hound dog.  That being said, she is not a big barker.  Since she does love to give chase, we'd prefer her to go to a home without cats or small dogs.  We'd love to see her complete a family who's looking for a snuggly dog to come home to, who protects the house and keeps the couch warm.

Lady Blue should be adopted into a home with older kids (13+) only as toddlers or louder younger children scare her.

The adoption fee of $200.00 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. Although we do the best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can make no guarantee. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED!
