Hi, my name is Vadar, and I am a Black Lab mix! I am almost fully-grown and weigh 26 lbs but I will fill out a bit more. I don't know all the breeds I am mixed with, but I do know that I am very smart! I learn quickly, am house-broken, and am very good on a leash. I will need to continue my training with my forever family. I am learning to go for car rides and to play in the woods. I love to run and play with my foster mom there and am very interested in the deer, rabbit, and squirrel smells. I think I will need my new family to have a fenced in yard so I can run and feel safe. When I am done playing I settle down to sleep. I love quiet time and cuddling! I can be shy when I first meet a new person but I will warm up quickly if given time. I do not like erratic our loud situations and would be happiest in quiet, calm, homes. No children under 10 in my new home, please, as they do scare me - I love older kids though! I would like nice, respectful children to love me and would probably also like another dog to play with as well. I am crate trained but so far do not need to be crated as I am learning household rules very well. If you think we are a good match, please fill out an application to meet me!

The adoption fee of $400.00 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. We will also require that Vadar's new family go through basic obedience coureses with him. Although we make the best guess on the breed and size of our dogs, because they come from shelters, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the dog. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! Vadar is being fostered in Marengo, IL
