Lee is a very social, beautiful, and affectionate puppy who wants to be in the middle of the action with her human and canine pals. She loves attention from her humans, but is happy to share the love with other resident dogs. She loves other dogs and cats, and bunnies. Being a rambunctious puppy, she can be alarming to other animals that are shy or delicate. Her intentions are just to play, and she is learning to be less exhuberant.
On walks she's a bold explorer, eager to see what's ahead, very alert and observant, and delighted to meet new friends. Lee and her sister are so cute on walks together that people stop their cars and ask about them, and sometimes get out to meet them, which the puppies love. An active family with kids and dogs would suit her perfectly. She'd also do great in a smaller group as long as she gets plenty of attention and exercise. Lee would be sad in a situation where she was cooped up alone all the time. She's young, energetic, and loving, and eager to begin an exciting new life.
The pups are separated from part of the house and Lee just hates missing an opportunity to mingle. She can be very determined, and she is quite an athlete, so she often goes over the gate to say Hey. At this stage in her development she's a great climber, although that may change later as she gets heavier. At this point, putting her outside in an xpen or low chainlink fence would not keep her safe.
Lee's foster home does not have a fence, and the mosquitoes can suck you dry faster than Count Dracula. So Lee has not had the chance to be fully housetrained. BUT, Lee is perfect using pee pads 99.99% of the time - if a pad is available she'll use it. She was a star and picked that up in only a few days, so she should transition to always going outside very easily.
Lee is full of sweet exuberance. When she arrived she was not AFRAID of people, but she did not know that humans could love her or keep her safe. She quickly learned about relationships with humans, and now she loves to follow her foster mom around and flop at her feet, and after some fun, do some snuggling. Her lack of experience means Lee can be alarmed by new things - a loud wood chipper, a big barking dog across the street etc. She quickly sees it won't hurt her and then is fine. Her foster mom loves that if something scary happens on a walk, now Lee runs to her mom. Before, Lee thought she just had to run. She has been very well socialized and is now ready to go to her forever family.
